Brunch House Augusta is a newer restaurant downtown located at 573 Greene St. Not only does it serve breakfast items, but it has great options for lunch. I wanted to see if the restaurant matched the hype it was getting online. I can’t say that the people were wrong with this one.
The Breakdown
Breakfast food is probably my favorite type of food so I couldn’t resist ordering a waffle. I got the “Rise and Shine platter” with a side of grits. Although I’m trying to eat healthier, I threw all that out the window to try them out. The food did take a minute to get served to us, but it worth the wait. Everything was perfect. The sausage was perfectly seasoned, the waffle was amazing with strawberry syrup and the scrambled eggs were just – chef’s kiss.
The only annoying thing I dealt with was that the waitress forgot to omit the cheese to my grits, but I was able to make the best of it. My friend got the salmon croquettes and grits and mentioned she enjoyed her well-seasoned food as well.
I love the vibes of Brunch House. It reminds me of Waffle House, but the service is better and friendlier. They also have outdoor seating and gives off a train theme with their signage.
“Brunch House of Augusta was definitely superb! They had delicious food and really friendly staff! I will surely be back!” -Chef Tay!
How to get 5 stars
I really enjoyed at Brunch House so there’s not much for me to say they could improve on. The main thing I noticed was that they seemed to be short-staffed with servers. Maybe as they continue to grow they will have more people to make sure we can get seated quickly and have our food orders put in without a long wait time. The time we spent waiting wasn’t bad but definitely could have been better. Other than that, I look forward to going back there soon.
P.S. They have a rewards program and I suggest signing up. I did when I checked out and it was simple. You can sign up here.
Where should I go next?
