The Breakdown
I really enjoyed my first experience at Pineapple Ink Tavern (and I’m a difficult person to impress). My favorite part of the experience was getting to try out the drinks. Their drinks are handcrafted and delicious. The service staff was friendly and personable, but the only drawback was that my waitress wasn’t as attentive as I would like. When I was running low on water, it took her a minute to catch on and we were sitting at the bar. It didn’t take away from the experience, but I have to be fair right? The owner was super nice and talked to us for a bit and asked questions about our experience.
The food was great. The fries were served with garlic and although I was cautious about trying it, it turned out great. I loved drizzling the garlic on my fries to give it a great kick. My tastebuds were very happy with the Tavern burger. It was a huge serving. I was starving so I devoured it quickly, but it made it so full afterward. The menu overall was pretty fair and there wasn’t anything too expensive so this would be a great place to go for a happy hour or dinner.
How they can get 5 stars
This is a little tough to not give them a perfect score, but the only thing that I deducted points for was just the customer service was a little slower than I would have hoped for considering the place wasn’t as busy while we were there. This could be an isolated incident, but I’m choosing to be a little critical. Other than that, the place was perfect and I can’t wait to go back there again.
P.S. Their color scheme and art is the best. It definitely fits the “Downtown” vibe.
Where should I go next?
Go to Edgar’s above broad! You will need to make a reservation early just in case. Slots fill up quickly but I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet! 💛
