Vampire Penguin is a dessert shop in North Augusta that serves up the sweetness with snow magic creations. Although I was a little turned off by the name, seeing the treats online made me want to give this place a try.

The Breakdown
When you walk in, you will immediately notice how they take their theme. The colors, the decor, the vibe overall is all on brand, which I love. The servers were super friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so I asked for help and the server said that I should go with their special which was key lime. Y’all it was amazing. The key lime was topped with whipped cream and graham crackers were sprinkled around. It had a very interesting texture. It was light and fluffy but had the taste of key lime in every bite. I was very impressed. The treats come in two sizes – regular and large. Neither is at a bad price point.
We decided to eat out treats there out of fear that they may melt, and it was a good decision. It wasn’t too busy, and I notice that there was a good amount of diversity coming through the door. It made me feel more comfortable. I was confused a little about how they got their name, but I kinda found out why from checking out their website. Not sure if I’ll ever become a fan of the name, but if they keep the sweetness coming, I’ll always be a fan of those.
How to KEEP 5 stars
This place is perfect. I’m going to come back here often. I hope they continue to serve up specials and have amazing customer service. I hope they don’t make me wait an entire year to try the key lime. They have so many options (including vegan options) that will easily make this place a go-to.
Where should I go next?
